OAKMEADOW PRIMARY SCHOOL
LOGO DESIGN, BRAND DESIGN & IMPLEMENTATION, ILLUSTRATION, SIGNAGE

The first part of the project was to develop an existing logo that was lacking punch and very complicated making it hard to embroider and scale down for smaller applications.

With the cleaner, more friendly design approved and tested, a colour palette was agreed upon and the next task was to update the signage around the school. This was starting to look a bit chaotic with lot’s of different bits that had been added over the years without any real unifying style.

Taking two main complimentary colours from the palette and using classic Helvetica Bold for the font, I went onto produce around 40 signs of different shapes and sizes which have now been fitted around the school.

The next part of the brief was to then draw 15 animals, insects and birds in a similar style, which represent each class at the school.

The result… from school sweaters to direction signs, a unified, fresher look reinforced by a new logo, consistency in colour and clean legible typography.
